Battle Report – Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Realms of Conflict Ep 01!

Owen and I pull a late-nighter to bring our first game of Age Sigmar to GMG. A few booboos (mostly in deployment) but all-in-all we plow through a huge game!

  1. How do you make your armyes, by points, by wounds?

  2. I’m waiting to see how this turns out. I love the simplified rules. The scrolls themselves seem balanced. Line troops scale very well with size. I think there should be limits on the types of units such as heroes, wizards, priests, monsters and war machines. Chaos Lords seem a bit OP. Demon summoning can be countered but the Chaos Lord can just keep on asking for reinforcements.

  3. Thanks for the battle report… I must admit that I’m surprised by a side effect of the game itself: it tends to keep away WAAC players… they generally are not appealed by it and you can spot them 100 miles away because with the same wounds they’ll only bring named characters and monsters… but only if they are ready to ridicule themselves with the funny rules LOL… at which point it’s easy to say “no thanks”.
Somehow I’m a bit sad of loosing WHFB the way I met it the first time around in the late 80’s, but admittedly the scene was getting quite stale and rotten so… welcome some fresh air…
Looking forward to some Vampire Counts
