Doing something Crazy – Starting an artists Co-Op

Some big news here.
Last week what began as a crowdfunding campaign has now escalated into something new. Something crazy. Something I hadn’t really considered until my readers and viewers basically DEMANDED it in four exhilarating, terrifying hours where the goal of improving my equipment and continuing to make quality video content about the hobby for you guys since my departure from MiniWarGaming escalated into something more.

I took this crazy idea to friends. People who also make amazing content and who are passionate about tabletop games as well. More have since come out of the woodwork.

So now I find myself in the midst of an insanely successful crowdfunding campaign with the goal of creating a Co-Operative group that lets ANYONE that wants a space or a network of people to help bring their ideas to market have access to a higher level of equipment, experience and talent. The TableTop Media Co-Operative Group is damn near a reality.

If it comes into being, people with a few models and a game will have a platform they can approach for the creation of demonstration videos. The level of equipment and editing available will help them take that great idea and product and put it to market. Between the co-op members there is already an impressive network (and growing) of Tabletop Wargamers that his media can then be seen by.

Anyway, I just thought I’d put this out there. It’s been an incredible five days.

  1. good luck with new project! fingers crossed:)

  2. A few years back a company called “Micro Game CO-OP” had to change the name. Under Canadian law they were not a true CO-OP. You might want to look into that.

    • I’ll look into it. As we’re not a company or incorporated, I don’t believe there will be an issue.
