Games I Like – Victory Condition: Future Combat- Deciphering a five-year-old paint scheme

I painted my UNA army in 2009. It never saw the battlefield due to the fast collapse of Rackham and even faster loss of interest in my gaming group.

Sad, as they were lovely models and a unique universe.

Never one to play with Repaints I primed and refinished a large army. It sat in a carrying case until December of 2013 when I downloaded Agis Neugebauer’s new generic Sci Fi war gaming rules.

My last post covered what was already in my collection. A little digging revealed my leftover UNA figures.

The only problem was, I couldn’t remember how I painted the old ones!

That set me off on a quest through my old paints. I think I’ve narrowed down the colors I used…

Basecoats C – Adeptus Battlegrey, C – Dheneb Stone, PP Uniform Green, C – Snot Green, C- Boltgun Metal, C – Blood Red, C – Scorched Brown

Washes C – Devlan Mud, C – Badab Black

Highlights C – Skull White (blended), C – Bubonic Brown, C – Ardcoat

Bases GF9 Fall Turf, Woodland Scenics Brown Flock

Here are Work in Progress shots of the basecoats and washes applied…

An MCS Infantry Support Squad with 2 Guided Missile Launchers, 2 Light Chain Guns and a Unit leader with Laser Rifle.

Sgt M Borz will join my MCS Command unit as the Electronic Warfare specialist. I think he really fits the bill!

More to come as I complete them.
