Games I Like – Junk? – Found a Dog Face Squad!

If you’ve been following the progress of Grindhouse Games you will probably remember they had begun to release some models for a post-apocalyptic Robot game. Very little was mentioned about it overall, but the premise was that mankind is wiped out during a final World War and all that remains of life on earth are the machines we created to fight our wars for us.

Very Noir, very Pulp, very Clunky. The models were available for a short time on their Online store and the game itself was in process of being written.

Sadly, last week Jim Bailey the director of Grindhouse announced he had sold the Junk property to another company (who remain nameless) and as such was no longer going to be selling anything through the Grindhouse site. I was super-unhappy about this as I’d been putting off grabbing a squad of the DogFaces (think R2D2 with legs and machine guns!) for some time.

Luckily I found a squad in a game store on my travels. If you do see one, nab it up! Who knows if they will ever be available again and this is a great kit. Tons of weapon options from MGs to HMGs to other sundries. If you look in the lower left corner of my photo, there is even a BOONIE CAP to put on one of the robots. Genius.

So if you can find them, don’t hesitate… grab a squad!
