General Hobby – Dug through my case and found a few models I’ve never shared!

Ahhh Confrontation. I remember when this game was all about high-quality metal models (something I will freely admit to being addicted to). My little display cabinet is packed with a couple of Confrontation armies that I’ve kept simply because I’m so fond of them and the games I played with them that they just deserve better than being flogged on Bartertown.

As I was doing some moving around of figures I came across two models I painted on a whim a year or two ago that I never did get around to photographing, so I put them in the lightbox and took a couple of pictures.

Both of these guys are from the Cadwallon line (the newest army around the end of Confrontation 3.5) that was just a wonderfully characterful range. I have many of the character models and monsters as well, although they never sadly saw any paint as the game ended and we moved on to other things in my gaming group. These two crossbowmen were a fun little painting project however, and deserve to get a little recognition even if it is several years after the fact!

As Non-Metal-Metallics were all the rage back then, they were painted in that style, with some work done on the battle damaged old shields as well. I’m happy with the results, they look almost like historical figures if you take the oddly designed helms and kite shields off them. Maybe I’ll dust off some of my boxes and boxes of Confrontation models and see if I can find a new use for them… Enjoy!
