Games I Like – Malifaux – Painted the last Master; Perdita

Now that we’re playing alternating weeks of Malifaux and Infinity at Meeplemart, I’ve got a little bit of painting left to do. Yesterday I got some paint on a couple of models, and finished Perdita.

Perdita is the head of the ‘Family’; Demon-Hunting deputes of the Guild who’ve been sanctioned to exterminate supernatural monsters throughout Malifaux. Perdita is the consumate gunslinger. With the Fast skill she gains an additional action of any type each round and her shooting abilities are no joke (she can even shoot around walls with her Bullet Bending spell).

I went with a classic Old West look for her, with calf-skin chaps and an old fashioned blue shirt. I’m happy with the result, even if the model is a little plain.

I also got some paint and a wash down on my Convict Gunslinger. His paired pistols and a ‘lite’ version of Perdita’s reaction skills make him nice and affordable at six soulstones.

When that’s done it will be on to the two ‘Family’ Members that I want outside of Perdita and Pops. Santiago is a great gunslinger and cheap at 5 souls. Nino is by far the greatest long range fire-support in the game and is an obvious second choice.

On top of that I’ve got a new shiny Zuzzy gaming mat at three by three feet to paint up for tomorrow night. Hopefully I’ll get some pictures of my games posted!
